Harbor
Country is an eight community enclave on the shoreline in the southwestern corner of
Michigan. Union Pier, where we are located, is about 5 miles north of New Buffalo and its
harbor. We're an hour and a half from Chicago and three and a half hours from Detroit. Harbor Country is both romantic and picturesque. It has lazy winding roads, majestic sand dunes, miles of beautiful beaches as well as forests and vineyards. There is something for everyone, in every season. The shops, art galleries and antiquing appeal to both the sophisticated collector and the casual shopper. There is convenient golfing, bicycling and cross country skiing. Everything here is casual, even when dining at one of Harbor Country's famous restaurants. While we offer all of this and more, you may prefer lying in a hammock, strolling on the beach or just sitting on our swing over-looking the lake.
